Plain-language answers about what we collect, why, and what we do with it. Last updated: August 2026.
BogotaLawyer.co is a legal guidance and referral service and part of the ColombiaLegal network. This policy covers the information collected through this website and the messaging channels we offer, such as WhatsApp.
When you contact us, we collect what you give us: your name, email address, phone number if you provide it, the legal area you select, and the description of your matter in your own words. We do not ask for identity documents, financial information or passwords, and you should not send them through the contact form.
We use your information for one purpose: to understand your matter and, if you wish, connect you with an appropriate lawyer. We may contact you by email, phone or WhatsApp to follow up on your inquiry. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising lists.
If you ask us to connect you with a lawyer, we share the details of your inquiry with that professional so they can evaluate your case. That is the only routine sharing we do. We may also disclose information if required by law.
We keep inquiry records only as long as needed to manage your matter and our service, and we protect them with access controls. When information is no longer needed, we delete it.
This site loads fonts from Google Fonts, which may involve requests to Google's servers. We do not run advertising trackers. If you contact us through WhatsApp, WhatsApp's own privacy policy also applies to that conversation.
You can ask us at any time what information we hold about your inquiry, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to us through the contact page and we'll take care of it.
If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the date at the top. Substantial changes will be noted clearly.
